Thinking about where does this felling of protection come from?
Looking back growing up, my Dad was the most generous man I knew, and he taught me to, “always think of others before yourself ” and Super Hero’s. Bill Kennedy at the movies on a Saturday afternoon with my Dad was the best! Have you ever noticed most Super Hero’s work alone? My favorite superior hero “The Green Arrow”, and Oliver doesn’t solve problems or corruption by himself. He surrounds himself with the best team and they train together flawlessly towards a common goal. Being a single mother of 3 amazing children, I have a heightened sense of protection, it’s what I do. I guess you would say, it’s just in my DNA, I don’t know how to do or be anything else. If you would like to know more about how I think…
I wish there was another word besides “Realtor”. Yes we call ourselves Realtors, and I’m more comfortable labeling myself as a Web Developers, Social Media Producer, WordPress Guru, Facebook Developer, Marketing Producer and Product Storyteller that happens to sell real estate. Our business foundation, we are a Media Production company selling real estate. When you put your faith and trust in us to sell your property, I take my job seriously. I have to market in a way that causes your home to stand out over the competition, furthermore, I DON”T leave money on table either through inferior marketing or negotiations.
The story about “The Grays”
The Gray’s had their home on the market before and didn’t sell in Bruce Twp. on 2 acres Preserve. They wanted to sell badly and move out-of-state. They custom-built their home and they needed every penny back out. The time was spring of 2011 and we were still in a depressed market. The housing market crashed to the bottom quickly and by this time they were still going down, just not as fast. We looked at all the data and it was clear they were not going to hit their magic number and it broke their heart. I reminded them this was a want, and not a need. They were together as a family in a beautiful home, unfortunately not in the state they wanted to live in. They agreed, the frustration of putting the home back on the market and the feeling of disappointment of not selling was too much. We agreed I would watch the market closely and let them know when it was time, and went along with the plan.
The Big Day Came
We stayed in touch and each quarter I reported, “Not Yet”. Fast forward to spring 2014, I called Diane and my recommendation was we could list and sell the home and with the right marketing get them TOP DOLLAR. There was a shortage of homes on market in spring of 2014, and after all those months of not yet, they trusted me and we put the home on the market. My marketing reached a Physician up north that was thinking on a transferring to hospital in the area. He was looking for a home that would give him the “Up North” feel and close to the hospital. They drove down and feel in love with the house and the area. In 6 weeks on market, finally they were under contract. The Grays walked away with an extra $160,000 just by waiting…. Not to get to technical, I’ve taken the live data from the Multiple Listing Service. We have identified all the important headers and created search fields, so if I missed anything you need, contact me and I can build the field out for you.
Home Page Advance Search
On the HOME page of the website you can search for your new home with Advance Search, all your custom data fields are in the Advance Search option. IMPORTANT! The filter option you can filter out all the properties without pictures, looking for open house, and more importantly max days on market. If you only want to view new homes on market in the last 7 days add a 7 in that field. Also, the status will filter in only active, and back on market if that is what you select. If you want to view only back on market, just select that status. Scroll through the rest of the fields, and scroll back up to search. You can also search by address and Map Search.
Home Page City / County / New on Market/ Luxury / Waterfront Search
The searches in the City Search are Interactive Map links with minimum filters. You can select advance search to narrow down your search. It is easier to search by area using the Map search option if you are looking for special neighborhoods you want to call home.
Home Page Map Search All Homes available for Sale in the Multiple Listing Service
Selling in one county and moving to another…like Ann Arbor. This is an interactive map, and moves freely and pulls in the data about ALL homes for sale listed in the Multiple Listing Service if the other boards are sharing their data. Most of Southeast Michigan to the Thumb is sharing Multiple Listing Service Data. If you are looking for a home on the water, you can scroll the shore. The tab on the top right, you can change the price and the status so it will pull in only what you selected as our criteria. Under the Map, you can find the KW App that is great for when you are on the road and looking for homes based on you GPS location. Look for news this fall, we are adding AI (Artificial Intelligence) her name is Kelle.
The school district pages will give you some insight on the community if you are new to the area. Most buyers with families look for homes based on the district, or an individual school. To make your search easier, there is a link to the district map to choose an area best for you. If I’m missing a school district that you need, contact me and I will build out the information for you. My goal, to give you accurate information you can use.

The links for your home search a broad and you can apply some filters to your search. If you choose to use the Advance Search, review the data box for school districts and use the interactive map to search zone in a neighborhood you have interest in. Of course, if you are looking for something on the Water, Golf Course, Luxury or a home with a pool, you have preset search links for your review.
Buying Tips and Tools
I will apologize up front, I have several tips and tools and the presentation is not the best. I am slowly going through each tip and changing the format for an easier read. This is from my old site from 3 years back and I haven’t had the time to update everything. My priority was to learn to code the data so I could build out property searches to make it easier for my clients furthermore, we’re moving forward and go live without it being 100% perfect. I am working on it and it’s bugging me knowing it’s not perfect… yet. One of my flaws that drives my kid’s crazy. I will be adding more information in the future in the buying tab, blogging and starting a new Podcast. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Impacting Our Community
On the main page, we have information about “Giving Back. We’ve had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful families, and along the way, to no fault of their own things went wrong. We’re adults, we can handle what lesson we’re supposed to learn, but kids should have the luxury of being kids. That’s why we have started a new foundation, “ImpactingKidz.Org. We are waiting on our 501(c)3 status, in the meantime, we are chairing “Toys for Tots” for KW-Lakeside. Our main goal for Team Tag It Sold will be bikes, so please visit the home page if you would like to help.
